NORTHERN LAO TOUR

Embark on a cross-border adventure that spans two nations and rich cultures. This 2,141-kilometer journey takes you from the winding mountain roads of Northern Thailand into the heart of Laos. The route offers a perfect blend of challenging riding, history, and breathtaking nature, linking the ancient Lanna kingdom with the heritage of Lan Xang.

THE RIDE

You should plan your trip to start the ride in Chiang Mai, which is both the beginning and end of the tour. Chiang Mai has a large international airport that accommodates direct flights from many cities across Asia. Get your gear ready for an epic 11-day journey (8 riding days). The ride begins with the famous curves to Chiang Rai, visiting the iconic  Wat Rong Khun and the border markets at Doi Tung before crossing the Mekong into Laos. You will conquer challenging routes to Luang Prabang, a World Heritage city, where we spend two days exploring stunning waterfalls and the old town. From Vientiane, the capital of Laos, we cross back to ride along the Mekong to the culturally unique Chiang Khan and the historical ruins of Sukhothai, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before completing the loop in Chiang Mai.

​THE MARSHAL

Your ride to conquer the curves this time will be led by a highly experienced team of riding marshals. They have been riding this route for over 30 years and have more than 20 years of experience leading big motorcycle tours. Our marshals are certified by the BMW MOTORRAD Tour guide Academy. Supported vehicle also provided to ensuring that you have the most enjoyable and safest trip possible.
